Buddy Tabor….sigh… listening to his music on a summer day, 6 months since I spoke to him and our predictions of the future have proven true…

Peanut is a little dog from the shelter, very small and very quiet. Very skinny. Hopefully some love and security will help him thrive.

Starshine from Great Falls – I am sending warm wishes and gratefulness for your moment of kindness, sometimes small things are not insignificant in someone’s life. It’s funny how certain things will make a memory that lasts.

I can’t sit at the computer for more than a few minutes at a time lately, so often I end up giving a quick look and random comment on Facebook. I thought I’d put them here for safekeeping Smile

The deer are a real problem. But there are only 3 young ones left. That’s enough. They are chomping everything down. No way I can do a garden if they eat everything as it comes up. Contemplating the BB-gun…

I love Wikipedia. We complain about the internet a lot, and there is a lot that’s not there, but I love being able to quickly look up a term I’m not familiar with. My “formal” education was lacking in philosophy and sociology, so I often look up terms in order to try to understand the idea someone is trying to communicate.

Cultural hegemony is the philosophic and sociological theory, by the Marxist philosopher Antonio Gramsci, that a culturally diverse society can be dominated (ruled) by one social class, by manipulating the societal culture (beliefs, explanations, perceptions, values) so that its ruling-class worldview is imposed as the societal norm, which then is perceived as a universally valid ideology and status quo beneficial to all of society, whilst benefiting only the ruling class.[1][2]

Dear friends and family. Please do not bring any more "stuff" of any kind into my tiny space or give things to my kids and expect me to find space for it. I do not want to have a yard sale, I do not want to get rid of my jars, I do not want to have to figure out a creative way to recycle or imagine a craft project. I just want space and less junk in it. Please. I have no more space for anything that is not precious metals or edible.

4-6-12 I call it “blueberry sludge” and it seems to be getting good reviews. Smile

All these years and Mike still isn’t convinced that adding beans is an acceptable substitute for meat.

sooo unhappy that some of our fresh butter turned rancid 😦 even more PO’d that it ruined some carrots and onion that were on their way to being mire poix for spring veggie soup…. ugh, it was nauseating 😦

"Yes! She told him! She schooled him!" "What?" "She taught him a lesson!" "What did she teach him?" "That he’s an asshole!" "How can you teach someone that?" "duh…..(scratching my head)….that’s a good question" (Me and my daughter regarding Rachel Maddow and Rick Santorum’s little friend on her show)
