Potato chowder last night with frozen corn, green chile, red potatoes (perfect!) a few spoonsfuls of the colorful red pepper salsa and essence from the roasted chicken a few nights back. The mire poix was sweated in a couple spoonsfuls of bacon grease from our happy pig.
It was good.

Foil over the crust edge, I don’t know why the photo turned out green, it was not green. The foil is to keep the edge of the crust from burning. Take it off for the last 10-15 minutes of baking….
